LARGE minority

Our Story

Large Minority is a fresh tourism movement which specializes in organizing meaningful events that embrace responsible tourism, incorporate philanthropic projects, eco-friendly initiatives, promote the destination and give back to the local communities.
We are cultivating Travel Aficionados in search of unique and life-changing experiences - our motto is to Go More Local than Local! so when creating Challenges we turn into chameleons and master the local ways and customs. We are all about providing authentic experiences.

How we want you to feel

Through our adventurous Challenges we aim to unite multi-cultural travel aficionados in search of unique and meaningful experiences. We hope to create a travel community, where intrepid travellers are valued for their diversity, differences, and similarities. We want to engage free, colourful personalities with one thousand & one stories to be lived, shared and told. We would like you to become one with the destination and savour every last drop of what it has the offer. But most importantly we want you to join us in changing lives and uniting people.
We must become the generation of sharers, givers and saviors!

Meaningful Tourism

As we understand the impact usually associated with tourism activities, we always respect the local people, their culture and the environment. We try to benefit local, small, independent businesses and encourage young talent. We source locally and try to support those who use natural materials and produce eco-friendly products.
We think of the Challenges as an ideal opportunity to make a difference and bring positive change to every destination we visit. Our social objectives are central to our identity.
As responsible travellers we care about the environment and aim to reduce the negative ecological impact generated from the Challenges. We embrace sustainable tourism and incorporate eco-friendly practices throughout our events.

We might only be a fraction of the masses, but together we will soon become the largest of minorities…

Did you see us on FHM?

Did you see us on FHM?

Waassabii Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that we were featured on FHM's 100 Great Adventures (March UK edition)...
We were actually waiting for them to upload it on their website but finally gave up - so here's a couple of scans of the feature (and NO unfortunately the HOT chick didn't join us last year)...if someone manages to find it online please send us the link.
It might take a bit long to load - so "a thousand apologies" with extra head wiggle action...
Keep Cracking,

Juan

A Tukkin Wedding...

So check it out...

Our main man Anushka finally decided to become a serious family man and organized the most amazing traditional Sri Lankan wedding.
His bro, Arjuna, one of the Lanka Challenge legends decided that no Lankan wedding is complete without an authentic Lankan chariot...so we were honored to join the party...
Here are the snaps:

We wish you all the best my brave man!

What an amazing Challenge!

Kohomada Machans,
What an amazing Challenge!
It would be unfair to say that this year’s Lanka Challenge was better than the 09 edition, but wow, we’ve got to admit that it was REALLY SPECIAL!  Once again we would like to thank the incredible group of people that joined us on this occasion. You guys rocked it! Not only did you really understand what the event was all about,  but you also went the extra mile by raising over USD 14,000 additional funds for your selected charities (of course team PEACE took it to a whole new level!). A sublime trip with quality people that really cared!

As most of us try to recover from the nostalgic Lanka blues there is only one thing that keeps us going – the idea that we will soon be cruising inCambodia with a new batch of incredible people - and of course that next year we will be doing it all over again in Sri Lanka.
It was a real pleasure to receive such positive feedback from all of you! So do keep in touch by joining our Facebook Fan Page and mailing list. We’re currently cooking lots of ideas and would like to keep you and your crew posted on what’s coming up.
A special thanks to those of you who shared your pictures - we’ve uploaded them onto Picassa and can be viewed by clicking here. I would also like to give a special shout out to Jonathan from Trinco & Back for his amazing blog which you can read here
Congratulations once again to Neil and Wes from team Bootylicous for winning the Challenge!
Thanks you all once more for deciding to visit this beautiful country....
Cheerios for now and just keep cracking!
